Chiara De Santi teaches Italian language, culture, cinema, and international cinema. She received her Ph.D. in Italian from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Ph.D. in history, and a master’s of research from the European University Institute. She also earned a Laurea Magistralis (M.A. equivalent) in foreign languages and literature from the University of Florence. Her research interests include Italian and international cinema; Italian culture, gastronomy, modern literature, and history; and Italian as a second language. Faculty page
